WORSHIP TIMES

Saint Peter’s in Brighton Beach is an inspiring and intimate place to worship God. Our weekly worship times are:

Sunday at 8:30am Eucharist

Early on a Sunday morning, a quiet service of eucharist.

Sunday at 10am Sung Eucharist (Worship for All Ages)

Our main service of worship, at which children and young families are most welcome. This is a joyful celebration of the eucharist with fine liturgy, preaching and music in the Anglican tradition. Weekly Sunday school is held at 10am (except during school holidays, on the third Sunday of the month when all ages remain in church throughout for a more informal family service, and on the first Sunday of the month, when Kids Church is at 12 noon). Morning tea is served in the church after the service.

Sunday at 12 noon—Kids Church (first Sunday of the month)

A special Kids Church service for young children and families is held at 12 noon on the first Sunday of each month (except school holidays). The language of the service is simplified to help small children understand the intent of the prayers and to encourage their involvement. The music is also easily remembered, so that young ones can participate, and we share a story instead of a more formal teaching. The whole service is concluded within 40–45 minutes and is held in the intimacy of the chancel. A light lunch for the children is served immediately after the service.

Wednesday at 10am Eucharist

A short, prayerful celebration in the middle of the week (this service is not offered in January).
